rosescafe1.blogspot.com This Sunday afternoon was finally a warm spring day here in Roseburg, and Erin was coming over with Crixus for dinner, so I decided to have us a little fiesta of sorts! We made some Satti Baboy on the grill and I attempted a Leche Flan for dessert. It all came out not half bad! Satti Baboy (Pork with Spicy Sauce) Description In the Philippines, "barbecue" typically means meat (usually pork) cut into bite-sized pieces, marinated and skewered, then cooked over a grill with a spicy sauce. You can find it everywhere, from classy restaurants to street vendors. I love them all! This recipe is pretty typical. Ingredients •3 pounds pork roast, cut into pieces •3 teaspoon salt •1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper •1 tablespoon ground coriander •1 tablespoon cumin seed •1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil •1/2 cup sliced onions •1 tablespoon brown sugar •1/3 cup soy sauce •1/4 teaspoon ground ginger •3 limes, cut into wedges Directions 1. In a glass bowl or dish, mix together the salt, pepper, coriander, cumin seed, and vegetable oil. Add pork cubes, and stir to coat. Let stand for 20 minutes. 2. Add onion, brown sugar, soy sauce, and ginger; stir to blend. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour, but best overnight. 3. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
